The U.S. Department of Education has recently released its application for a new grant program called Promise Neighborhoods. It aims to invest in programs that offer social, educational, and health-related support to the youth in low income and rural areas all over America.
Inspired by HCZ's comprehensive efforts, the U.S. Department of Education (ED) has taken a step towards making this simple goal real for more low- and moderate-income communities across the nation. ED is launching Promise Neighborhoods, a program intended to improve the educational and developmental outcomes of all children in a set of distressed communities—and they are specifically including rural and tribal communities, along with urban neighborhoods.
For more information, visit the Department of Education's Promise Neighborhood's website or the Promise Neighborhoods Institute.
The deadline to file a Notice of Intent to Apply is May 21st.
