HarborOne is a pioneer in offering educational opportunities to local residents and businesses and their innovative Multicultural Banking Center in Brockton, MA is cited as a national model. Maureen Wilkinson of HarborOne U will share how her credit union provides financial education for every phase of life, furthering the notion – you’re never too old (or young) to learn.
Poverty Simulation Workshop
This is a role-playing experience offering you the opportunity to learn more about the realities of what it means to live in conditions of poverty. After the simulation, you’ll have the opportunity to share your insights and hopefully establish an awakening of the human cost of poverty.
Outstanding Credit Union Efforts
We are excited to bring you a panel of dynamic credit union professionals, representing four credit unions in Colorado, Oregon, Missouri and New Mexico to talk for their innovative approach, development and implementation of “out of the box” CU services and/or products. Our speakers are:
Did you know an estimated 30-40 million Americans do not have a bank account? 30 to 40 Million! Those people are turning to non-traditional financial service providers like Wal-Mart, which offer Reloadable cards, making access to a bank accounts less important than in the past. Join our product guru and REAL Solutions Field Coach, Bill Myers as he shares the ins and outs of the Prepaid Card Market and how credit unions can offer a better positioned/priced product and provide these consumers access to mainstream financial services.
